Edible Autunmal Tablescape
Edible Autunmal Tablescape
Watch Clodagh make this on ITV This Morning here.
A romantic autumnal tablescape, almost everything on the table is edible!
STEPS:
Place a linen cloth (not tablecloth) down the centre of the table leaving the sides of the table visible.
Place dining candles in candlesticks in the centre of the table. Pop some seasonal flowers into small bud vases and place them around the candles.
Place bunches of grapes or grapes on the vine around the centrepiece. Then scatter figs and bunches of herbs around the table (I’ve used rosemary, thyme and sage).
Place Salad leave into glass jars and place at edges of the table (i’ve used kale).
Add jars of honey or jam to the table as a nice gift for your guest.
For the table setting, use an autumnal coloured plate (browns, deep reds) then tie a knot in a coloured napkin and place it around one side of the bowl so it forms a crescent shape. Add a small amount of seasonal veg or fruit over the napkin (I’ve used beans, you could use a sprig of raspberries).
Finally, write out the menu on a place card and add this to the plate.
