A FEW WAYS TO ADD LOVE INTO YOUR DOGGIES BOWL

1. Fish Oil is my number one tip.  After Nolly had a terrible fall, we began to put fish oil into her breakfast every morning.  Her damaged joints recovered so much quicker, not to mention her skin and coat were so improved.

2. Fresh Eggs Ever since I started keeping hens, my doggies get a treat once a week of a raw egg mixed into their food. Eggs are nearly a complete source of nutrition for your dog - a great source of selenium, iron, vitamin A, riboflavin, fatty acids, vitamin B12, and folate.

3. Bone Broth Whenever I have leftover bones from a roast meat I make a bone broth for my doggies. It is the best thing you can give them. It promotes healthy digestion, helps repair leaky gut, helps the liver detox, and is great for joint health.

4. Antioxidants supplements counteract some effects of aging in dogs I think.  They’re also used for treatment for heart disease as they reduce inflammation.

5. Probiotics - given the massive increase in probiotics use in humans it’s unsurprising that dog owners like myself are now including their dogs for the morning family daily dose.   They help with digestive and intestinal health.  Probiotics come in several forms, including some yogurts, capsules, chews, powders and in some dog formulas.

6. Carrots I have started chopping up carrots into my dogs food this autumn, I reckon if I need the extra Vitamin C from lack of sun they must need it too!

You should obviously consult your vet with what would work with your furry friend, but this is what works for my two.
