Olive Branch And Lavender Wreath
YOU WILL NEED
Willow wreath
Olive branches / sprigs
Dried sprigs of lavender
Twine
Flexible wire
You could also use any of these other types of flowers / branches for the wreath:
Pussy willows
Bay tree
Roeships
Laurel
HOW TO
Bundle the dried lavender into 5 small bunches or more if you wish, but I would suggest to stick to odd numbers (5, 7 or 9) as it looks better once arranged on the wreath. Each bunch should consist of about 20 sprigs. Cut the bunches to about 10 inches and tie securely with a piece of twine.
Wrap your willow or grapevine wreath with flexible wire and secure.
Start by arranging the olive branches or sprigs around the wreath, you will want to cover all the wreath in the olive branches and have fun with arching some of the branches into the middle or to create an arch at the top of the wreath. Use the flexible twine to secure the branches.
Next place the bundles of lavender symmetrically around the wreath. I like to think of the wreath like a clock –so one bunch at 2pm, one at 4pm, one at 6pm and so on.
