Spring Tablescape
Spring Tablescape
I just love changing my tablescapes as the seasons change. A spring table for me is all about adding freshness and vitality to a table.
Beautiful shades of green with fresh white flowers with green stems are a staple on my spring tables. Lots of stem vases with two or three wild garlic flowers or snow drops look so pretty running down the centre of the table, with a large vase in the centre or to the side filled with large branches with buds about to open. Bluebells are such a pretty spring flower which also look so lovely in stem glasses and a sprig on every napkin.
A flood of daffodils can look really cheerful on a white linen tablecoth or small bunches tied with twine on each napkin.
I also love decorating the table with seasonal vegetables. At this time of year fresh radishes with their long green leaves look fabulous dotted along the table, or again placed on each napkin.
Green linen napkins, sage or olive green are my favourite shades on the table during spring. They look beautiful on a wooden table or on a fresh white or cream linen tablecloth.
Matched with pewter plates or pottery looks stunning. A spring table with delicate simple flowers and soft green seasonal colours really captures this special time of year and brightens up your home after a long winter.
